 Post subject: How to fix Alt / Meta key in xterm

If you're trying to use your Alt key as a Meta key in xterm, and it's not working, add the following line to your ~/.Xdefaults

xterm*altSendsEscape:   true


Then run the following command to activate the change:

xrdb -merge ~/.Xdefaults
